Wisp Snowboard Lessons

Wisp snowboard lessons will help you get started and teach you how to enjoy the sport. Skiing or snowboarding skills can be improved with group lessons offered by the resort. The Burton Learn-to-Ride Center, Wisp's newest addition, is staffed by professional instructors who can show you the basics and advanced moves.

Fairmont State University's Outdoor Adventure Club has teamed up to offer four weekly snowboard and ski lessons. Pierpont Community & Technical College also has a partnership with Wisp Resort. These classes will be offered from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays. These classes are open to all Pierpont and FSU students.

One-on-one lessons are also available for those who want to learn a new skill or get some extra help on the slopes! The instructors will teach you how to ski/snowboard and help with your balance.

Getting there

The resort is located in Garrett County, Maryland, about two hours from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and three hours from Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. It is a popular resort during winter. There are many lodging options, as well as ski-in/ski–out homes.
